Karen is from Lake Charles and moved to NOLA to attend Aveda in 2014. She Graduated from Aveda with an Esthetics license in 2014

and then immediately went to work for corporate waxing chains from 2014 to 2017 to receive more extensive training on different waxing techniques. She also traveled to Denver CO for one on one specialized training in Male Brazilians.

In 2018, Karen started her own business Max Wax. She continues to educate herself on leading news, products, and techniques in the waxing industry.

​

Aside from work, she loves to read, garden, practice yoga, and of course dogs.

 

Max is 6 years old and was rescued from the SPCA when he was 1. He loves to sleep, go on walks, go to the park, and play with his toys. He loves coming to the shop to visit with my clients and is considered the shop mascot.
